Ron Peterson died on October 5th at 72 years old. He was born on January 10th, 1954 in Portland, OR to Morris and Vivian Peterson. He was the fourth of six children.
Ron attended Hector Campbell grade school and graduated from Milwaukie High. After High School, he followed his father into tradework, joining the Heat and Frost Insulators Union until his retirement in 2014. Ron took great pride in his work and the friendships he made and maintained from the jobsite.
Ron loved to build and fix things. Most of all, he excelled at building and repairing car engines - a talent which landed him his high school job at a service station. It was here that he met Kathy Doersch for the first time when she pulled in to fill her white Rambler Ambassador. They were married four years later and had four wonderful children. They built a life and home in Beavercreek where they lived for forty years, raised their children, and nurtured their six grandchildren.
As a father, Ron was a tireless provider and supportive parent. He was always there whenever his wife or kids needed. With the birth of his first grandchild in 1999, Ron became the kindest, most caring and involved grandfather, the great Big G. He always had a smile and a joke for his grandkids and built his life around their happiness.
Ron is survived by his wife, two siblings, four children, and six grandchildren.
