Paul Vincent Raab

Paul & Georgene Raab, who were married for 69 wonderful years, both passed into God’s loving arms five days apart. Paul died on October 13, 2025 at the age of 90 and Georgene passed five days later on October 18, 2025 at the age of 89.

Paul, was born on March 8, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to Joseph & Barbara Raab. He grew up attending St. Philip Neri Catholic School, where he met his wife to be Georgene Amato in the 8th grade. He would graduate from Central Catholic & the University of Portland. After graduating from U of P , he found his niche as a plumber, later owning his own company, Dean Warren Plumbing. Paul was an individual who could not say no and was always willing to help whoever was in need.

Georgene, was born November 2, 1935 in Astoria, Oregon to George & Mary Amato. She grew up there through the seventh grade where her parents owned “Amato’s Palace of the Pacific Supper Club.” They then sold the club and moved to Portland, Oregon where they opened Amato’s Supper Club in Portland, Oregon. Georgene went to St. Philip Neri, again where she met the love of her life. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and attended University of Portland for a short time before marrying Paul. Her passion in life was cooking and baking and insisted everyone be seated at the table at 5:30 sharp.

Paul and Georgene are survived by their four children Michael, Lisa, Joseph, & Mylie; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul and Georgene were definitely inseparable because they went and did everywhere together throughout their life. Their marriage was definitely a true love story and no matter who saw them together, you would always leave their presence happier.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 2408 SE 16th Ave. Portland. Fr. Andrew Thomas will be officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall: Carvlin Hall and internment is Private.
