Lynda Marie Walker (née Vuksich), passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born in Portland on September 22, 1953, and Oregon was always home.
Nothing meant more to Lynda than her family and community, and her life was defined by serving others. As development director at St. Mary's Home for Boys, she spent more than five decades helping at-risk boys and their families find stability and hope. Being a mom and grandma was her greatest joy, and she treasured time with her children and grandchildren and loved celebrating holidays with her family.
Outside of work, Lynda enjoyed taking long walks, reading a favorite book, spending time at the Oregon Coast, and hosting friends at her house.
She is survived by her children, Sara Walker (Chris Stonebraker), Kimmy Walker (Carl Reichenbach), and Stanley Michael Walker (Caitlin); five grandchildren, Mac, Stella, Walker, Sophie, and Jackson; her brother, Tony Vuksich (Anita); and her nieces, Shawn, Mary, Erin, Jenny, and Dani. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marc Vuksich (survived by Loree). A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 7 from 11am-12pm, at the Chapel at St. Mary's Home for Boys, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Mary's Home for Boys (stmaryshomeforboys.org).
