Joyce Kissel-Barth

May 4, 1951 – April 14, 2025

Joyce was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 4, 1951. She moved with her family to California in 1957. She is the youngest of three children, brother Dennis and sister Gail.

She was married and had two daughters Nicole and Renee. In 1989 Joyce and her daughters moved to Oregon. Both daughters preceded her in death. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to caring for her family.

Joyce worked at kaiser Permanente for 27 years. She started as an operator and ended up being supervisor of patient services.

She was a woman of great faith. Throught her life she was willing to do anything that the Lord asked of her. It was her great joy to help at St. John the Baptist and Christ the King Catholic Churches in Milwaukie.

Joyce had a great devotion to St. Joseph. If you needed prayers Joyce would immediately say she would call on St. Joseph. “Oh St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires”

Joyce passed away peacefully at her home on Palm Sunday.

Joyce’s Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday April 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., at Christ the King Church, 11709 SE Fuller Rd. Milwaukie, Oregon. Burial will be Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery, Happy Valley, Oregon.
