In Loving Memory of Genevieve Alamada Dixon Williams
July 30, 1936 – September 29, 2026
Genevieve Alamada Dixon Williams, lovingly known as Grandma, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Jamestown, New York, Genevieve was the oldest of five siblings and a woman whose life was defined by faith, family, resilience, and love.
Genevieve shared 52 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Edgar Lawrence Williams. Together, they built a family that became one of the greatest joys of her life. She was a loving and devoted mother to ten children—seven sons and three daughters: Mike, Cecilia, David, Daniel, Elizabeth, Matthew, Sean, Tom, James, and Genevieve. Her family continued to grow, blessing her with 19 grandchildren and at least 25 great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a part of her legacy.
Family was at the heart of everything Genevieve did. She treasured the time spent together, whether gathering around the table, playing games, sharing stories, or simply enjoying one another’s company. These moments, both big and small, were precious to her. She understood that the greatest gifts in life were often found in being together, and she created memories that her family will cherish for generations.
Genevieve’s Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life. A strong and devoted Catholic from a young age, she held her beliefs close to her heart and was part of the Cervits at the Grotto. Her faith provided a lasting foundation of strength, hope, and devotion throughout her life.
Resilient, warmhearted, and full of life, Genevieve had a special gift for turning difficult moments into positive ones. She faced life’s challenges with grace and an uplifting spirit, bringing light and warmth to those around her. Always ready for an adventure, she loved traveling and embracing new experiences. She approached life with an appreciation for the present, meeting each precious moment with joy and focusing on what was right in front of her.
Many loved Genevieve deeply, and her passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled. Her legacy lives on through the family she nurtured, the faith she held dear, the laughter she shared, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
Though she will be greatly missed, the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reminder to cherish family, hold tightly to faith, find joy in the little things, and make the most of every precious moment.
May she rest in God's eternal peace and loving embrace. She will be remembered, loved, and cherished as part of the family she loved so dearly.
