After graduation, Gayle joined family in the Portland area, working while attending college. She held several positions over the years, quickly developing a talent for building relationships and excelling in sales and marketing.
In her early twenties, Gayle began working at Scotsco Inc., where she found not just coworkers but a second family. She loved interacting with her customers and took pride in selling wholesale outdoor power equipment to dealers up and down the West Coast — many of whom adored working with her.
Among those dealers was one who became more than a customer. A romance blossomed, and as the new millennium approached, Gayle and her husband, Tom Jenne, were raising their family. Her children, Alex and Molly, became her purpose and her pride.
It was then that she joined the ranks of the world’s greatest mothers. In 2009, she stepped away from her career to become a full‑time mom, dedicating herself to giving her children the best academic and athletic experiences possible. The kids attended Catholic schools, and Gayle was beside them every step of the way — eventually becoming a devout Catholic herself.
Those early years were filled with driving to activities, coaching Molly’s soccer teams, helping with homework, volunteering at school, and dreaming up educational adventures to interesting places.
As Alex and Molly grew more independent during their college years, Gayle filled her days tending to the beautiful yard and garden she loved, trying new recipes, planning holiday gatherings at the family lake home, and calling her beloved twin sister, Tina, every afternoon to talk about the day’s events, dinner plans, and their next travel adventure or pilgrimage.
Gayle will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend — a woman whose unmistakable, infectious laugh could only belong to her. She had an unmistakable gift for making every person she touched feel loved, approaching life with humor, grit, and a fire to do God's will. Always. She will be deeply missed. She lives on through her husband, Tom; her son, Alex; her daughter, Molly; and her twin sister, Tina.
