Christine Lynn (Sarsfield) Seed was born March 4th, 1958, died May 6th, 2024, from complications from ovarian cancer. She was 66yrs old.

Christine was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up on the family farm (homestead) in a small town in South Central Washington called Centerville. Christine and her brother George attended grade school in Centerville and attended high school in Goldendale Washington. As a youth growing up Christine and her brother George showed sheep and steers at the Klickitat County fair. Christine was an avid book reader as a youth and as an adult. In grade school she was a spelling bee champ several times over.

Her parents were Anthony William Sarsfield of Centerville Washington and her mother Marilyn Joan (Winslow) Sarsfield of Portland, Oregon.

In 1981 Christine moved to Portland, Oregon to start working at Bonneville Power Administration as a Clerk Typist. The last half of her career at Bonneville Power Christine worked in the library as a library technician. She worked at Bonneville Power Administration for 40 years and retired in 2021.

In her time away from work Christine enjoyed dancing with the Tir Eoghain Ceili Dancers with her husband Kevin and they are members of the All Ireland Cultural Society. Christine was an avid member of Toastmasters International where over the years of her involvement she was involved with 3 clubs one of which she was a founding member of Portland Progressive’s Toastmasters. Christine was also a member of the German American Society where she sang in the German Choir.

Another chapter in Christines life was her chickens!! Christine along with her husband Kevin and son Patrick raised, showed, and sold chickens. They also enjoyed and shared a bounty of eggs with family and friends. Christine enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables in her raised beds, her roses she would cut for vases in the house and at the cemetery. Christine enjoyed canning with her friend Sher and at home with her family. Since her retirement Christine has spent time with family and friends exploring markets and festivals. Even trips overseas Ireland, Scotland and the UK were at the top of her list planned for late Spring of 2025.

Christine was proceeded in life by her parents and son Paul.

Christine was survived by husband Kevin, son Patrick, brother George (Silvia) Sarsfield, uncle George (Carolyn) Winslow, 6 nieces & 4 nephews and 3 grandnieces & 2 grandnephews.
