Christina Elaine Wheeler Morris

Dec 6, 1954 — Jun 13, 2026

Christy was born pre-mature weighing only 3 pounds, on December 6, 1954, in Eugene, Oregon to Dayle and Irma. She is the middle sister of three daughters. Christy survived the odds of being born a preemie and was a fighter up until the end.

She graduated from Gladstone High School in 1974. After she spent a year in El Salvador, upon returning, she attended Mt. Hood Community College where she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. She worked as a caregiver most of her life until she retired early due to some medical disabilities.

When she was young her family moved to Spokane, Washington for a period but eventually ended up back in the Oregon area. Christy doted on her nieces and nephews as they grew up, she didn’t have any children of her own, so they were her children. She loved watching movies with them, scarier ones with the nephews and loading them up on junk food before sending them home. Christy was married for a short period of her life; it didn’t end happily ever after. Her happiness was with her cats and dog and her large extended family, especially around the holidays with big family gatherings. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she always showed up with her best Christmas Cat Sweater on.

Christy is survived by her sisters Gayle (Michael) Leonard, Patricia (Michael) Rademacher, her nieces Kristin (Patrick) Fullmer, Kaylee (Bud) Carrick, her nephews Aaron and Alex Leonard, Jeffrey (Joann) Haeger, Joseph (Andrea) Rademacher and 11 great nieces Lillian, Samantha, Addyson, Jaidyn, Ariana, Sienna, Kira, Emery, Melody, Mora and Rae. She was preceded in death by her parents Dayle (Marcia) Wheeler, Irma (Les) Moen, her Aunt Dodee Entwisle, her brother-in-law Mike Leonard, and her great niece Savannah.

A private burial will take place for immediate family members at a later date.
