Alicia Del Carmen Fernandez Peralta,"Doña Alicia" also lovingly known as “Mama Alicia,” passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at the age of 98. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her son, Richard, and her daughters, Adlin and Maria Elena “Helen". She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Connie Taylor, whose memory lives on in the hearts of her family.

Born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, Mama Alicia’s journey was marked by resilience and hope. In 1976, she made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States, seeking a brighter future for herself and her loved ones. Her life was a testament to strength, love, and devotion to her family.

A committal service in remembrance of Mama Alicia will be held at the small Cemetery Chapel of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Happy Valley, Oregon, on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at 2:30pm.
